Actually Dream Scene does use a little bit of CPU % to keep the process running, other than that you are correct, it uses very little system resources while running. It can be a little slow on boot up, and screensaver startup, but that's normal for any application. It will not lag your games, when DirectX is initialized by a game, or a full screen window opens, it will suspend the animation (since you dont see it anyway) and will stop running until you return from your game or maximized screen, neat eh?

DreamScenes does not use CPU OR RAM....
It only uses resources from your VGA-card, and will not lag your machine...
Unless your running a game that need all the power it can get from the VGA, like BF2142...

First, you must have Vista Ultimate 32 or 64, to get the "DreamScenes" unless you subscribe to the Stardock Suite.
Business Vista, Home Premium and Basic to not have this feature.

I have the Ultimate (32bit) edition. I went through the updates feature in control panel as well. I had to first tell it to check for updates, then went to the optional items where it listed dream scenes, bitlocker and a poker game.

Which version of Vista do you have? In the business version, I can only update via the Update program in the control panel, and I can't seem to make it find or install dream scenes.
